The university's branch campus in Quito held three graduation ceremonies for 190 students who successfully ended their studies in management and leadership, environmental engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering and electronics.

In the welcome speech, Armando Romero, director of the university pastoral department in Quito, told UPS professionals to be good people and to carry out their activities with quality, principles, ethics and solidarity. "Put your skills at the service of others, keep your heart and eyes open to the needs of people", he said.

During the ceremonies, Jose Juncosa, vice president of UPS's branch campus in Quito, congratulated the new professionals and said "UPS is a dynamic ecosystem where there are three main activities: teaching- learning, research carried out by professors and students and entrepreneurship.

Erika Lascano, Diana Cañizares and Natalia Cueva spoke on behalf of their classmates. Cañizares said professionals today should be innovative and learn more each day. "We are Salesian graduates, people full of values and knowledge", he said.

Darwin Manitio, Daniel Torres, Anhia Ruales, Karla Salas and Karina Paredes were awarded certificates for having developed competencies such as social responsibility, inclusion, leadership for change and communication skills during their university lives.
