The Information and Communication Technologies for Disabilities Research Group (El Grupo de investigación de Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación Asociadas a la Discapacidad (TICAD)) held the first meeting for Seedbed Research Projects aimed at undergraduate UPS students.

The aim of the meeting was to encourage students to conduct research projects that can favor the autonomy of people with disabilities and inclusive education. "In the seedbeds, students and professors work together in the research processes", said Alice Naranjo, coordinator of the research group.

This meeting was also attended by Julio Cesar Arboleda, PhD, director of the Ibero American Network of Pedagogy (REDIPE), who spoke about the importance of the seedbed research projects in his country (Colombia).

Some of the topics were:

-    The importance of seedbed research projects
-    Projects developed by the seedbeds
-    Life experiences in the seedbeds
-    Future projects

This event was attended by the coordinators of the SIGMA and IOTA groups, members of the first, second and third generation seedbeds. "These activities develop research as well as processes for inclusive education of people with disabilities", said Naranjo.
