The university's pastoral department in Guayaquil held a meeting on Salesian Identity for UPS professors in order to improve professors' jobs from a salesian perspective by using updated tools for teaching aimed at enhancing the teaching – learning process.

The meeting was attended by 330 professors from different majors. "It is important that the pastoral department hold these meetings so that professors understand that their students are people that have their own stories", said Father Luciano Bellini, director of the pastoral department.

The aim of these meetings are to contribute with the human part of academia, the university should not only worry about the academic part, but also about a person's integral personal fulfilment. "It is important that professors have this in mind", said Father Luciano.

The organizers hope that professors acquire the principles and ideals of salesians. ""We try to live the grace of Don Bosco reminding our professors that we have that Salesian joy", said Juan Jose Rocha, assistant of the pastoral department.
