On Friday, April 7th, the university's branch campus in Quito held a graduation ceremony for 118 students who successfully ended their studies in psychology, natural resources biotechnology, local sustainable development management, accounting and auditing, communication and business administration.

Edgar Tello, acting vice president of the university's branch in Quito, said everyone who make up the university is happy because they are fulfilling the mission of educating excellent professionals with social awareness. "Ecuadorian society now has new professionals who will surely help find solutions to problems in society", he said.

Paz Guarderas, director of the psychology major, strongly believes that ethics enables people to face challenges in life, "there is no doubt that ethics is the hallmark that UPS has left in you, it is so important in a world where work, education and love have become merchandise", she said.

Katherine Bosques, who spoke on behalf of all the graduates, said that success cannot be measured by the semesters they passed, but by the ability to use knowledge to benefit people, "fellow graduates I invite you to use our knowledge, strength and perseverance for our country", she said.

The ceremony, held in "El Giron" campus, was attended by university officials, graduates' family and friends.

The UPS choir directed by Karol Caicedo performed during the ceremony.
