The pastoral department held briefings for 150 scholarship holders from the National Secretariat of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SENESCYT for its acronym in Spanish)  who enrolled in the university for this academic period. The briefings were held on the 11th and 12th of April.

The aim of the briefings is to give students information about the government's program titled "Programa de Acompañamiento Salesiano a los beneficiarios del Proyecto Política de Cuotas de la Educación Superior". We are currently updating data and overall information on this academic period (period 50)", said Jose Pelaez, from the pastoral department.

Veronica Loor, who is in charge of the project in Guayaquil talked to students about the support they will receive from UPS regarding their academic and human development. "These activities enable us to monitor students' academic progress and help us work in a more dynamic manner with students", she said.
