Workshop: Universities - Businesses for Economic Sustainable Development
Universidad Politecnica Salesiana and the GESPLAN group from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (UPM) invite you to attend the workshop titled “Relaciones Universidad-Empresa como motor para un Desarrollo Económico Sostenible: hacia una inversión Responsable en Sistemas Agroalimentarios”.
This workshop is part of a joint project between FAO – UPM and is aimed at researchers, professors, producers, businesspeople and other non-state actors.
The event is free of charge and spaces are limited. The university will contact participants via email.
Date: September 21st and 22nd
Place: Baguanchi Convention Center
Time: 8:30am – 1:30pm
Transportation will be available:
- Thursday September 21st at 8am from UPS (12-30 Calle Vieja and Elia Liut) to Baguanchi
- Friday September 22nd from Baguanchi to UPS.
Objective:
The aim is to foster talks about the relationship between universities and companies as a driver to generate sustainable economic development with responsible investments in the agri-food system.
Another goal is to encourage collaboration between businesses and universities. Therefore, university professors and researchers, credit union representatives and agents of the private sector will attend the workshop.
The workshop is supported by Fundación Ingenio, Cooperativa PROGRASERVIV (Cooperativa de Producción Agrícola, Ganadera y Servicios de Alimentación para Vivir Mejor), Universidad Nacional de La Plata (Argentina), Colegio de Posgraduados (México) de la Secretaría de Agricultura, Ganadería, Desarrollo Rural, Pesca y Alimentación de México.
