On October 28th and 29th, the university's branch campus in Guayaquil held the 2nd sports competition for alumni. About 200 former UPS students gathered for two days of sports and brotherhood. 

15 teams competed in basketball, men's and women's soccer and a traditional game of cards called "cuarenta". The competition began after the inauguration carried out by Elizabeth Tigrero, alumni from accounting, and Maria Jose Tomala, alumni from business administration.

The university awarded all the participants prizes for taking part in this competition and raffled two hard discs among all the participants.
