Call for articles

The IUS (Salesian Institutions of Higher Education) Education Group invites professors and researchers from American, Asia and Europe to respond the first call for articles for the book: “Challenges for Salesian Education: Experiences and Reflection of IUS.
 
The IUS Education Group is seeking to get involved in research regarding circuits, reflection and action in the field of education according to the Salesian mission. The 2018 – 2021 Common Plan was approved in last IUS Convention. 
 
The main aspects of the plan are: Knowledge production, network and common action.
 
In this regard, we announce the call which is expected to strengthen inter institutional academic ties between IUS as well as reflect about and disseminate the research results and the experiences of Salesian Education in four aspects:
 
- Young people in educational institutions
 
- Education, diversity and interculturality 
 
- Educational innovation
 
- Human education and pastoral youth service

Layout of the article:
 
- Abstract: ten to fifteen lines
 
- Keywords: 3 – 6 keywords
 
- The article must be divided into sections, titles and subtitles must be included
 
- In any of the chapters, the article must indicate the objectives, methodology, theoretical references, discussion and / or results.
 
- References: APA 6th edition 
 
Editorial proposal:
 
The book will be published with the label: ABYA-YALA UPS in co-authorship with another editor and / or a member of the IUS Education Group.
 
Publication norms:
 
The article must be authentic and contribute to one of the aforementioned topics. The article must be between 20 and 25 pages long (6000 and 8000 words). It must include a footnote with the author’s (s’) first name and last name, the institution he/she works for and an email address.
 
A curricular profile of maximum 10 lines must be included at the end. 
 
The font must be Times New Roman, 12pt size, 1.5 line spacing and 3cm margins. Tables, graphs or images must be inserted while the article is being written.
