According to the official letter Nº PAX / DRX / PPF / AS / 20.003 from February 19, 2020, where the China Scholarship Council - COMINAL, informs that the Scholarship Program Co-sponsored by UNESCO / the Republic of China (The Great Wall) are offering seventy-five (75) scholarships for the 2020-2021 academic year for advanced studies in various subjects for the benefit of State Guest members.

These scholarships are intended for students and professors who wish to carry out advanced studies or conduct research at the undergraduate and postgraduate level in Chinese universities for one year.

The scholarships are intended for training and in-service professors, teacher trainers and trainers from the ten (10) African countries under the UNESCO Trust Fund Project (CFIT) and China to carry out an advanced program of teacher training in East China Normal University.

Each invited Member State may submit a maximum of two (2) applications for the general / higher academic programs, and each UNESCO-CFIT country, exceptionally, is invited to submit four (4) applications (2 applications for the general / higher academic programs ), and 2 other candidates recommended by the Teacher Training Institutions supported by the UNESCO-CFIT Project). Candidates must be submitted as prescribed in the Annexes of this letter, so that UNESCO and the donor government authorities can select the most suitable candidates.

Special attention will be given to female candidates in order to have equitable representation, given the high priority that UNESCO gives to gender equality.

The annexes included in this letter provide specific information about the required qualifications, the facilities offered, the general conditions governing the award of the scholarships, as well as the procedures for submitting applications.

Please send the applications (nomination letters and copies of the online application forms of the Chinese Scholarship Council together with photocopies of valid ordinary passports) by email to Mr. Stoyan Bantchev, Head of Scholarships and the Program of Participation (s.bantchev@unesco.org), and to a.sloneva@unesco.org and v.lopy@unesco.org up to March 25, 2020 at the latest.
