The mechanical engineering undergraduate program in our branch campus in Cuenca invites the university community and the general public to take part in the 48 hour webinar on structural calculation with SAP 2020.

The goal is to train participants in the modeling, analysis and dimensioning of engineering structures through specialized software, SAP 2000. As well as modeling and analysis tools available and the modes of application and operation.

Finite element method supported by specialized software will be used for the design of earthquake resistant structures, applying the ANSI / AISC 360, ASCE 7, NTE E.020 standards. In addition, applications will be carried out for the pre - dimensioning of columns, beams, deck slab, applications of gravitational loads, analysis of framed structures with static seismic analysis. Autonomous projects will be carried out at the end of the seminar.
