UNESCO Chairs Program “Technological support for inclusive education”

Universidad Politecnica Salesiana invites you to the opening ceremony of the UNESCO Chairs Program “Technological support for inclusive education” on Tuesday, November 29th in the university theater. The ceremony will be attended by UPS and UNESCO officials and special guests.

The Program is related to the “Education for all” initiative and is in line with the five areas that are considered priority (UNESCO PIPT, 2000): Information for development; Information Literacy; Preservation of information; Ethics of information; Access to information. The Chair will contribute significantly to the achievement of five objectives and seven goals expressed in the Sustainable Development Goals: Projects related to the Millennium Development goals.

The UNESCO chairs program not only contributes to the Millennium Development goals, it also seeks to achieve universal primary teaching and to foster a world association for development. It supports the goals for sustainable development and the goals for 2030 (five goals for sustainable development and seven goals) which seek to “strengthen universal peace within a broader concept of liberty”.

The entire university community and the community in general is invited to take part in this important event for UPS. After the opening ceremony attendants will be taken on a tour around the university’s laboratories and facilities.
