Continuing Education Course: “Subnational Finance”

The university’s Sustainable Development major and the German Technical Cooperation Agency have organized the continuing education course “Subnational Finance”.

The aim of this event is to revise the behavior of public planning of decentralized autonomous governments (GADs for its acronym in Spanish) in terms of investment (income, expenses and financing percentages) within the current regulations.

The course is aimed at professionals in public finance, employees of GADs, UPS professors and alumni. The course will be led by Daniela Oleas, who holds a master’s degree in economics.

The course will be taught through questionnaires, practical sessions, discussions, role plays, forums and they will also review concepts as well as existing tools in this field.

It is a 40 hour course; the price is $200 for students and professors and $250 for the overall public.

Register from December 5th, 2016 to January 19th, 2017.  In Quito and Cuenca until February 2, 2017.
