Meeting: Stakeholders of a Social and Solidarity based Economy

Universidad Politecnica Salesiana’s branch campus in Quito, the Management for Local Sustainable Development major, the Political Ecology Research Group and the Community Involvement Department invite you to attend the meeting which has been titled: "The territory and stakeholders of a Social and Solidarity based Economy”, that will take place on the 3rd and 4th of February.

The aim of this meeting is to have spaces where members of solidarity based economies, researchers from public institutions, local governments, private companies and others, discuss strategies to create collaboration and synergies that will have a positive impact and facilitate economic development.

The meeting will focus on three aspects: employment, production and solidary work; the State, autonomous governments and social participation; and Technology and innovation in solidarity based economy. There will be presentations, round tables, visits to several territories and a festival on Social and Solidarity based Economy and food sovereignty.

The places to visit are:

•    Asociación de productores agroecológicos del Buen Vivir - Tabacundo
•    Asociaciones de Acopio de Leche fresca en la Parroquia de Tupigachi
•    Proyecto de Turismo comunitario “Camino del Cóndo”, comunidad Paquiestancia Ayora - Cayambe
•    Finca agroecológica, comunidad La Esperanza - Pedro Moncayo
•    Presentación de vídeo experiencia de la Casa Campesina. Auditorio Municipio de Cayambe
