Conference on “Physics of biological nanomachines”

EVENTO Presencial TIPO Académico Quito viernes, 30 junio 2017

The university’s branch campus in Quito invites you to attend the conference on “Physics of biological nanomachines” which will be led by Marco Bayas Rea.

The conference is being organized by the Centro de Capacitación y Servicios Informáticos (CECASIS) in order to discuss the fundamental laws that guide the behavior of biological nanomachines. They will discuss two important aspects of the functionality of proteins: its spatial structure and the nature of its interaction with its environment.

Bayas is a doctor in biophysics and computational biology by the University of Illinois and has conducted research on bio molecular topics, protein folding and molecular basis of photosynthesis.

Date: June 30th

Time: 11am

Place: “Sur” campus
