The Robotics Club won three categories in the "Robot Games- Pacifico Challenge" Competition

Students from the Robotics Club in Quito won different competitions of the robotic contest titled "Robot Games - Challenge of the Pacific", held at Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) in Guayaquil. The team was made up by  Wladimir Pachacama, Gustavo Reyes, Edison Agreda, Joel Amaguay, Jefferson Yépez and Jonathan Aguilar, students majoring in Electronic Engineering.

The event was attended by representatives of robotics clubs from around the country, as well as international speakers. Aguilar won first place in the "Labyrinth" category, Jefferson Yépez won the category "Line follower, Dexterity" and Wladimir Pachacama won third place in the "Simulated robot battle".

Thanks to their outstanding participation, UPS students obtained accreditations for national and international INTERCON competitions to be held in Peru next year, and the ROBOT GAMES ZERO LATITUDE in 2018.

"The competition was rewarding, not only because of the victories, but because each contest in which we participate, helps us to improve our knowledge," said Pachacama. Reyes thanked the coordinator Roberto Pérez and José Juncosa, vice president of UPS´s branch campus in Quito, for their support.
