Inauguration of the Masters in Business Administration program

The university inaugurated a new edition of its master's in business administration program (MBA) in Cuenca and Quito with 170 students whose aim is to broaden their professional education. This master's degree will begin in the university's branch campus in Guayaquil on May 10th. 

It is a two year program that will combine academic and research activities, "the MBA combines new management tendencies based on the cognitive development of administration, marketing, finance and human resources", said Santiago Solano, director of the program.

The inauguration was attended by UPS president Javier Herran; Diego Peñaloza, head of post graduate programs; Jose Juncosa, vice president of UPS's branch campus in Quito and Cesar Vasquez, vice president of UPS's branch campus in Cuenca; and Santiago Solano, director of the MBA program.

UPS president Javier Herran said "it is not about sitting in the classroom, but about discovering reality, turning theory into practice and moving on"

The MBA was jointly organized by the university's three branch campuses in Quito, Cuenca and Guayaquil; it will focus on financial management, marketing management and project management.
