The automotive engineering undergraduate program in Guayaquil held several scientific events where students presented their projects and took part in different activities.

The opening speech was given by the university's general vice president, Luis Tobar, who said "I ask professors to guide their students so they can conduct research and strengthen their knowledge".

The event was divided into four topics:

- Automotive technological innovation

- Alternative mobility

- Automotive design

- Energy efficiency

- Maintenance techniques and methodologies

Based on these topics, 15 lectures were held with national and international researchers "This activity is one of the methodological tools that we apply so that students have the opportunity to approach experts and draw on their knowledge", said Renato Fierro, Director of the Automotive Engineering program.

Some students, together with their teachers, presented the results of the research on Application of Electric Vehicles in the city of Guayaquil. "Having contact with people who have experience helps us to expand our knowledge and motivate us to continue on this path that has just begun," said Alejandro Apolo, a student.

During this event they also held the Scientific Fair and the exhibition of projects developed in the subjects of Automotive Design and Electric Vehicles. Invited companies participated with their stands and an exhibition of classic cars. Also, the Automotive Engineering program gave recognition to the university's officials for the support provided during these first years in Guayaquil.
