The university's branch campus in Quito held a graduation ceremony for 128 students who successfully ended their undergraduate programs in pedagogy, communication, psychology, biotechnology, accounting, auditing, mechanics and electrical engineering. Juan Pablo Salgado, Head of Research at UPS, told the new professionals that they should continue their projects based on liberty, responsibility and exercise their rights; "live your life with passion and transform society".

Ruth Alvarez spoke on behalf of the graduates, "thank you for believing in us, we overcame obstacles and are now capable of reponsding to current demands and transforming society", she said.
