Using the slogan "Change your habits, conserve our planet" students and professors from the environmental engineering undergraduate program commemorated world environment day with several academic activities to encourage people and create awareness on the importance of taking care of our planet.

UPS and the Ministry of Public Health organized several meetings on climate change and health to discuss its effects on the world as well as how health has been managed in our country. 
They also presented the book titled "Hidraulica y Ambiente" written by professors Andrea Mancheno, Michelle Vasconez and Miguel Araque.

The book is about the importance of the environment and its close relation with basic hydraulics. Jose Juncosa, vice president of the university's branch campus in Quito, spoke about the progress of writing papers and presenting innovative projects carried out by students and professors. "When research is constant in the university, no one can stop it", he said
