The choir groups from the university's branch campuses in Quito and Guayaquil presented a religious music concert, directed by Eduardo Florencia, during the university's cultural Wednesday program which is held in Guayaquil.

The presentation included music such as: Hanac Pachap Cussicuinin", written by P. Bocanegra, "Locus Iste" by Anton Bruckner, "Ave Verum Corpus" by Mozart, and "Misa de la Mitad del Mundo" by Eduardo Florencia.

Karol Caicedo, the director of the choir group in Quito, said "these events help promote the choirs as well as encourage people who are part of it since these presentations require lots of preparation."

The presentation was composed of contrapuntal elements with Ecuadorian rhythms written in the format of solo soprano, mixed choir and symphony orchestra "This work was about certain evocations of rhythms of the Andean region," said Eduardo Florencia, composer.

At the end of the presentation, an acknowledgment of participation was given to the choral group of Quito for their arduous task of enhancing the culture of our country.
