Meeting for Salesian Groups from Quito

On June 29th and 30th our university's branch campus in Quito held the second meeting for salesian groups from Quito; students from "El Giron" and "Sur" campuses attended the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by the coordinators, representatives of the pastoral department and of course the members of the cultural, sports, academic, sociopolitical and mission groups who were there to strengthen their salesian charisma and identity as well as leadership, cultural diversity, said Fransisco Mejia. 

There were several activities during the meeting, such as dancing, singing and acting; there were presentations from the theater group, folk dance group and modern dance group. Also, a presentation of a rock band. 

There was a talk about the Salesian Youth Movement Group (MJS) and how young people are a fundamental part of society and that they should keep salesian values alive. 

Wladimir Acosta spoke about the MJS, Leonidas Iza about youth, interculturality and leadership, Cisce Guayiles spoke about young and the future; while Pablo Laverde talked about meaning and existence. 

On the last day, the students were divided into 12 groups to discuss and reflect on the topics and the commitment to apply them in UPS.
