The university's Journal "La Granja" (La Granja, Revista de Ciencias de la Vida)  has been accepted in SCOPUS , the world's largest bibliographical database with over 25000 top quality journals.

Currently, only a few Ecuadorian Journals have managed to comply with the demanding requirements to be part of SCOPUS such as transparency, frequency, methodological rigor, internationalization of the editorial team and others. 

Luis Alvarez Rodas, general editor of the university said "this is a big step and it implies greater responsibility. Now that we're here we have to continue and look for other quality databases we can become a part of"

Sheila Serrano, the editor of the journal, is very pleased to be a part of SCOPUS, she said: "once we received the letter of acceptance and saw our journal appear in SCOPUS's search engine we knew we had managed to reach this significant goal and I wish to share it with the entire community of Universidad Politecnica Salesiana and Ecuador"
