Universidad Politecnica Salesiana (UPS) and Universidad Tecnica de Machala (UTMACH) signed an interinstitutional cooperation agreement to carry out educational projects for the inclusion of people with disabilities in both institutions.

Andres Bayolo, vice president of the university's branch campus in Guayaquil, and Amarilis Borja Herrera, vice president of UTMACH, signed the agreement that will strengthen inclusive education at the university level. The projects are also aimed at working on research activities among students. "The university is a benchmark nationwide on inclusion issues and we would like to work together", said Borja.

One of the projects they are working on is the International Congress on Education and Disabilities which is aimed at promoting awareness and innovation to encourage equality and opportunities in this field.

"We believe we can cooperate with other universities and tell them our experience so our institutions can by more accessible to everyone", said Andres Bayolo.
