Professors from the environmental engineering undergraduate program visited the highest weather radar in the world located in the north of the Cajas national park at 4450 masl. The radar has a range of 100 kilometers radius.

The visit also included the facilities of the Meteorological stations managed by the municipality company "Etapa EP". All this was part of the seminar held in the university to update professors' knowledge in this field.

The seminar was led by Lenin Alvarez and Mario Guallpa from ETAPA EP, they talked about several topics such as monitoring rain with remote sensors and processing hydro meteorological data.

Professor Paola Duque said "these type of courses get academia and the public sector close together and create cooperation regarding environmental topics".
