The university's branch campus in Guayaquil inaugurated its new building with modern laboratories for the automotive, mechatronics, electronics, automation, electricity, telecommunications, industrial and computing engineering undergraduate programs. The inauguration ceremony was presided by university president Javier Herran, the vice president of the university's branch campus in Guayaquil, Andres Bayolo; Father Fransisco Sanchez, inspector of Salesians in Ecuador and Reinhard Heiserer and Michael Richter from Jugend Eine Welt.

"We have not only inaugurated a building, but a facility that will enhance the way students carry out hands on activities", said Javier Herran.

"We are very happy with these results, every time I come here I see new things like the laboratories where students can apply all their knowledge", said Reinhard Heiserer.
Guests and university officials visited the laboratories which are equipped with up to date technology.

On behalf of all students we would like to thank the university officials for the permanent growth of the university, which for over ten years has allowed thousands of students to have access to a quality higher education institution", said student Oscar Morquecho
