UPS professors presented their doctoral research in philosophy with topics related to "people and education" during a talk held in Universidad de La Salle in Bogota, Colombia.

 

Professors Victor Iza and Roberto Briones, members of the Arts and Humanities Research Group, in the university's branch campus in Guayaquil presented:

 

- Answers in higher education from the philosophical proposal of Emmanuel Levinas.

- Education from the philosophy of Maria Zambrano     

 

The aim of this event was to enrich the academic and research relationship between both universities in order to encourage philosophy, art and literature. "The aim is to create relationships and synergy, aspects that help to improve philosophy". said Iza.

 

Hernando Esteves Cuervo, president of Universidad de La Salle, was pleased with the work of both universities and suggested to hold more events like these that benefit students.

 

These activities are held thanks to an inter institutional agreement signed between Universidad Politecnica Salesiana (Ecuador) and Universidad La Salle (Colombia) that seeks to encourage cooperation in academia, research, mobility and culture
