UPS president Javier Herran presided a ceremony for the new representatives of the university's workers association that will take office for the 2018-2020 period.

The association will now be led by Freddy Lopez (president), Olena Naidiuk (vice president), Robinson Portilla (secretary), Patricia Santos (Treasurer) and other members that will support the association: Edgar Loyola, María Leguízamo, Patricio Jiménez, Diana López, Cecilia Alvear and Hugo Ramón.

Javier Herran thanked and congratulated the previous members of the association for their work and then congratulated the new members. He spoke about the association's responsibility to seek benefits for all the workers. 

The outgoing president, Diego Chacon, was thankful for all the support from university officials, members and workers.  The new president, Freddy Lopez, assured the association will fulfill all its promises and will continuously seek benefits for all the workers.
