The book
The book "Cuando vengo nomás vengo. Cosmovisión andina desde la palabra de nuestros mayores"

The university's Abya Yala publishing house presented the book "Cuando vengo nomás vengo. Cosmovisión andina desde la palabra de nuestros mayores". The book is the result of collaborative work between professor Hernan Hermosa and students from the intercultural education undergraduate program.

The book contains stories of elderly people from indigenous communities in the province of Pichincha who work in agriculture , justice, health, community and family rituals.

Jose Juncosa, vice president of the university's branch campus in Quito, congratulated the authors and highlighted how the book connects the present with the past. Sebastian Granda, director of the intercultural education undergraduate program, said the book contains two dimensions of the university's educational model: active learning and contextualized learning. "UPS intends to place students at the center of the process so they can be the main protagonists and create knowledge."

Hernan Hermosa said the book is interesting because it contains stories of real protagonists who talk about their experiences and how to give indigenous communities value. Students Francisco Lema, Natalie Flores and Sonia Castro thanked the university and the author for their time, teachings and motivation.
