Students majoring in mechanical engineering in Quito's branch campus donated a shampoo dosing and packaging machine to the Familia Salesiana Foundation in Salinas de Guaranda.

The machine was designed by students Tatiana Andrade and Alex Hernandez under the supervision of professor Milton Jami. "The machine will assure the bottles are filled with the exact amount, it will save the workers' time", said Homero Yanchapaxi, professor.

The machine has a capacity to fill 100 liters per hour, it is made of stainless steel which guarantees quality.

The machine was donated to Carlos Mendez Perez, administrator of the company, and Father Antonio Polo, director of the foundation. Father Polo thanked everyone who has dedicated their time, effort and knowledge in benefit of the community.
