The UNESCO chairs program: assistive technologies for inclusive education is currently carrying out its project to recover cultural values in the province of Cañar. The aim of this program is to effectively apply innovative tools supported by information and communication technologies.

The research conducted by UPS professors Vladimir and Yaroslava Robles is carried out in two processes, the first focuses on training students and professors of a school located in the community of Huayrapungo in robotics and electronics.

The second is to use technologies to disseminate culture through several applications that have been created in the program and encourage children and teenagers to learn more about native communities in our country.

Dr. Patrick O´Shea, professor at Appalachian State University, has shown his interest in using inclusive technologies and signing an agreement to strengthen and recover native cultures of Ecuador.

The research process will last four years and will be done in several stages. It is supported by a multidisciplinary team of students and professors who will contribute from different areas of knowledge.
