Students of environmental engineering in our branch campus in Cuenca carried out the project titled "Environmental analysis of the community of Montañita, in the province of Santa Elena". The research took about eight months. 

The aim of this project was to carry out a complete environmental analysis of the urban area of this community by:

-  Analyzing the sanitary pollution processes; a study of the environmental impact and suggestions of improvement.

- Sanitary hydraulic evaluation of the wastewater treatment plant

- Study of the characterization, quantification and analysis of the final disposition.

- Application of Sanitary Water Treatment Plant for human consumption in the municipality of Montañita.

- Evaluation of risks and generation of security plans for environmental management proposals in the municipality of Montañita 

30 students, guided by seven professors, worked on this project and were able to put have hands on practice of what they have been learning in their classroom.
