In order to improve the quality of life and mobility of people with visual impairment, students who major in industrial engineering and representatives from the municipality of Guayaquil provided a boy with visual impairment an "Eyeclip", a device from Handeyes Company.

The device is one of the products students were able to buy after having held a Christmas campaign in 2018.The campaign, which was organized by students, professors and administrative staff, was able to benefit over 4000 people.

Eyeclip is a smart device that can be placed on any part of the body, it vibrates when the person is in front of an obstacle and lets the person know he / she must stop", said Juan Jose Rocha.

Santiago Reyes, the boy with visual impairment, and his parents were in the university to receive the device. "It is worth stating that this is third device we have donated to people with visual impairment", said Rocha.
