Professors of the mechatronics undergraduate program in Guayaquil held an awards ceremony for students who took part in the second projects competition for mechatronics students.
There were a total of 25 projects divided into 5 categories depending in the year students are in. "The projects are aimed at supporting sustainability", said Alicia Cedeño, professor.

Each one of the projects were guided by professors who encouraged students to present innovative ideas to solve real life projects. The proposals were analyzed under the following parameters:

- Innovation

- Group work

- Research

"The aim of the activity is to help students not only create their projects, but to perfect their proposals", said Cedeño.

Josselyn Lombeida, student of mechatronics, presented the project Computerized Numeric Control, a machine that makes 3D movements with different types of materials according to the programming. "These academic activities are great because they encourage students to present creative projects", she said.
