Students and professors of the accounting and auditing undergraduate program in Guayaquil held an entrepreneurship fair to show social and academic reality from a university perspective.

The event was divided into two parts: Social and Academic. In the first part, several activities are carried out during the year, for example visits to vulnerable sector of the city which allow students to learn the social reality many people live in. "Usually this activity is done with students who are about to graduate in order to strengthen their salesian spirit", said Maria Alexandra Chavez, director of the accounting major.

In the second part, students work along with professors who guide them during the entire semester to present their projects during the entrepreneurship fair, which this year had 24 projects. With these activities students are able to apply everything they have learned in class. "Teamwork made this all possible, different subjects worked together and there was constant feedback".

Melania de la Rosa, an accounting student, presented a project about an auditing firm which focuses on accounting, financial and work consultancy to benefit vulnerable sectors of society.
