Students majoring in biotechnology attended the course titled "Basic Laboratory Techniques", where they learned about the use of technological tools which they will have to apply during their university studies.

The course was held in "Maria Auxiliadora" campus in Guayaquil and was attended by 30 freshmen. "The laboratory is key of our professional development, therefore it is very important to train students on basic techniques", said Jose Luis Ballesteros, director of the biotechnology undergraduate program.

The course was led by Edgardo Sandorin, representative of Tecnoescala. For Sandorin, it is important that students know about these topics for their professional development, as well as have constant practice since this profession involves technology in order to obtain products. Representatives of the undergraduate program are currently planning other activities to offer our future biotechnology engineering other courses
