Students and professors in our branch campus in Cuenca attended the Reading and Writing center to talk about the book "Academic Communication: reading and writing practice in the classroom", written by Manual Villavicencio, who talked to students about his job as a writer and his most recent books. 

Participants had the opportunity to talk to the writer and ask him several questions about his book.

Carmen Alvarez, director of the social sciences and human behavior area, said it was a great opportunity and experience to talk about real problems that teachers and students have to face when it comes to writing.

The talk was part of a series of activities planned by the reading and writing center in order to enhance students' education in the university
