In order to provide members of the different salesian groups opportunities to attend training sessions, our branch campus in Guayaquil held a workshop, which started in August and ended this month, in order to strengthen people's salesian identity and other topics related to the salesian groups.

42 students attended the workshop and were awarded certificates for their participation. "The salesian groups in the university are a fundamental part of students' personal and professional growth and it is part of our salesian identity. It I also a requirement from the university's superior council", said John Avila, coordinator of the groups in Guayaquil.

Two of the topics during the workshop were: the preventive system, good christians and honest citizens, as well as other multidisciplinary topics. "It was a nice experience because I got to know other people who also devote their free time to salesian groups. People have a lot of commitment and dedication for the groups", said Maria Jose Endara, member of the UPS Channel TV group.

"Activities like the one we carried out in the "Nigeria" neighborhood helped us see other people's reality because of different situations. Personally, they should have these meetings more often so that other students have the opportunity to live this nice experience", said Janeth Soria, coordinator of the Salesian Youth Sociopolitical group.
