Talk on commercial management

The university's department of post graduate programs in our branch campus in Cuenca held a talk titled "A new era of commercial management" which was led by Juan Pablo Madero, Marketing Manager of Honda Ecuador. 

Today, commercial management goes beyond just selling a product, it is about a set of stages which prioritize people not only as consumers but as human beings with emotions.
"The challenge is to stop working separately and consider commercial management as a whole, where each area in the company is key for the achievement of objectives", said Juan Pablo Madero. 

He also added that it is essential that companies know where they want to go, the resources they have and when they expect to reach their goals. It is also important to have management indicators and not to be afraid of having measurable data because they allow companies to realize how much they have progressed and face problems they have had. Indicators are an opportunity for continuous improvement. 

To finish, Juan Pablo said that the main challenges people in commercial management face today are to value the time of their potential customers and to be respectful with the their information. Keep in mind that people have a series of emotions and you may not sell something right away, but it is important to give them information and very friendly service that will remember. 

"Team work is essential to have successful commercial management, I wish the postgraduate programs here at UPS the best of luck and I invite you all to join the programs since in today's commercial era there's nothing like having up to date knowledge", he said.
