The Universitty's Motor Sport Karting Racing Team in our branch campus in Cuenca came in second during the 5th ediction of the inter university Karting Cup, which was held in Escuela Superior Politecnica de Chimborazo (ESPOCH).

The team was made up of nine students who put everything they learned in the classroom and in the laboratories into practice; the students were guided by professors Wilmer Contreras and Jorge Fajardo.

The team got together with the vice president of the university's branch campus, Fernando Moscoso, who awarded the team a plaque and trophy for their participation in the competition.

Jose Granda, captain and pilot, was happy to have participated and gained experience in this field. Kelvin Mor, student and member of the team, said the team was perfectly coordinated mechanically speaking, which helped them finish second.

Fernando Moscoso congratulated the team and said "the university takes place in real life with project that give students the opportunity to face real life situations, the university will always support these projects". 

Finally, Fabricio Espinoza, director of the automotive engineering undergraduate program,  thanked Fernando Moscoso for his support and congratulated the team.
