Students from the robotics club in our branch campus in Guayaquil took part in the CRUTEQ 2020 Robotics Competition organized by the telematics undergratue program from Universidad Técnica Estatal de Quevedo – UTEQ.

There were several teams from engineering undergraduate programs in UTEQ and our university's robotics club from Guayaquil who were able to put their knowledge into practice. 
Thanks to the outstanding presentation of our university, they were awarded Arduino Kits, 3D printing and computer maintenance. 

Students from the robotics club began preparing for the competition two weeks in advance, they first design, then they start producing and programming, the final features are given at the time of the competition, therefore students must be aware of the changes the prototype needs in order to adapt to its environment.

"It is important that the university takes part in most competitions. Our branch campus here in Guayaquil has taken part in all competitions nationwide and in electronics, automation and robotics it is well positioned thanks to the good results obtained by our students. The electronics engineering program as well as the vice president permanently support the robotics club.

The prototypes are always ready and they can be used in national or international tournaments", said Victor Huilcapi, director of the electronics and automation undergraduate program. 

The club is currently preparing to participate in two tournaments, one that will take place in May in city of Aguascalientes (Mexico) – Robot Challenge Mexico and the other is a national competition in the city of Quito, the 7th Edition of the Latitud Robot Games.
