To support the university community and the overall public during the current health emergency caused by Covid-19, psychology professors in our branch campus in Guayaquil are providing counselling services.

The aim is to mitigate symptoms such as stress, anxiety, fear and uncertainty caused by the current scenario we are faced with today.

"We can address any issues that generate discomfort, any symptoms that demand care, derived from the emergency or that has been triggered for some reason", said Gloria Bermúdez, director of the Psychology undergraduate program.

The service is completely free of charge and can be done through Zoom platform or WhatsApp. "People interested in getting some advice should contact one of the professionals from the list below and agree on the date and time," said Bermúdez.

Most professionals leading the project are clinical psychologists with experience who can make pathological diagnoses. In addition to this field, the Psychology undergraduate program also has services such as psycho-education that involves the rules of mental hygiene, facilitating strategies for the individual to cope with the current situation.

Another service is coaching, which empowers you to set goals and achieve what you want. In addition, there is spiritual advice from the University Pastoral department. "Because of the acceptance we have had in just a few days, the idea is that this becomes a center of permanent attention," said Bermúdez
