Members of the university's Research Department took part in the Pure International Conference 2020- Elsevier and presented their work titled: "Strategies to accelerate and power up the Ecosystem of Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Universidad Politécnica Salesiana."

The event was held in two different dates, in America, Europe and Africa from the 27th to the 29th of October and Asia and Ocenia from the 3rd to the 5th of November. One of the objectives of this event, which brings together different prestigious institutions, is the advances within the field of research and technology after the implementation of the Pure system, which is very useful to facilitate the management and visibility of research results of an institution's scientific community.

At UPS, the Pure system has been of great benefit to develop data-based strategies, to accelerate and empower development processes, within the institution's Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem. It has also been possible to merge these procedures with other support and analysis platforms such as Crea Minka.

The work was presented by Bernardo Salgado, head of community engagement at UPS; Juan Pablo Salgado, head of research at UPS; Jorge Galan and Daniel Pulla, members of the research department at UPS.

Taking part in this event is significant for the university because it can demonstrate the advances it has made in the field of research during the last couple of years and show that it constantly seeks the best ways possible to make a positive impact on academia and society.
