The university inaugurated a new edition of its postgraduate programs with master's degrees in electricity, electronics and automation, innovation in education, water resources, natural pharmaceutical products, and mathematical methods and numeric simulation in engineering.

The welcoming ceremony for new students was led by UPS president Juan Cardenas who said that people should first have a calling to serve others and be prepared to face different situations along the way.

He also pointed out that the university provides quality academic and human education, he invited the new master's degree students to enjoy their learning, become good professionals and better people in order to work for society.

Diego Peñaloza, Head of the university's postgraduate programs, congratulated the 263 new master's degree students for pursuing a master's degree that will improve their professional and personal growth. "You are part of a group of people who have decided they want to provide solutions to society, enjoy your studies"

Damian Toledo, graduate of the master's degree in psychology, spoke about his experience at UPS and encouraged new students to be perseverant to reach their goals. 

Julio Zambrano, director of the master's degree in electronics and automation, spoke on behalf of all the postgraduate professors and congratulated and encouraged new students to do their best.
