Patricio Gabriel Reinoso Astudillo or "Gabicho", as his friends called him, was a happy and very responsible student. He graduated in February 2020, but because of the health emergency there were no graduation ceremonies.

He graduated as a bachelor in accounting and auditing in our branch campus in Guayaquil, but unfortunately died on November 30th, 2020 due to a malignant tumor. His degree was awarded to his father, Nelson Reinoso, who was very touched but expressed how proud he was of his son.

Gabriel worked in a bank, his father said that "everything my son learned at the university, he would apply at work. If there was something he didn't know, he would ask his teachers and then used that information at work".

"Gabicho will always be with us, I am thankful for the time he spent with us", said Juan Carlos Cevallos, Gabriel's friend.

"I want to thank the university for teaching my son and I would like to invite young people who don't know UPS to come and study here because you not only get academic education, but a human one as well", said Nelson Reinoso.
