The university's Education Research Group in our branch campus in Guayaquil organized an international conference on communication and social networks aimed at students, professors and professionals of communication, journalism and similar fields. 

The conference was attended by over 100 participants who learned about new communication scenarios related to internet and digital platforms. Eddy Conde Lorenzo, coordinator of the Education research group, said "it is an honor for our university to have speakers from Spain, Cuba, Argentina and Ecuador talking about the benefits of this digital era for communication and information":

The speakers were: Sabina Civila, Manuel Antonio Conde and Aurora Forteza Martínez (Spain); Vivian Ojeda La Serna (Cuba); César Andrade Martínez, and Laddy Quezada (Ecuador); and Sebastián Longhi Heredia (Argentina). The topics were related to information paradigms, the development of social interaction processes in current mass media, education, transmedia, the reality of social networks, and others.

The speakers congratulated César Andrade Martínez, UPS professor and organizer of the event for the good level, high scientific rigor, topics and reality of each of the presentations in the field of social networks and the digital communication.
