Our branch campus in Cuenca welcomed all new students to the university. There was a meeting attended by officials, program directors, professors and of course new students.

UPS president Juan Cardenas first congratulated professors for their work, said they must continue Don Bosco's legacy. He explained to students that this university breaks traditional teaching methods and has a much more horizontal teaching – learning relationship because we are all part of this important process.

Students are here to enjoy their learning experience and work cooperatively, it is important that they develop their minds, as well as their hearts to help society.

Fernando Moscoso, vice president of our branch campus in Cuenca, told students that this is a place that will help them acquire new knowledge and turn them into integral human beings.

"Your academic success will not be perfect, there will be obstacles and falls, but you should not work hard only to obtain a passing grade, but to have new knowledge that can be applied to help society".

Damian Paez and Vinicio Ordoñez spoke about the salesian groups, as well as peer tutoring in the university and how they help students.
