695 people from Ecuador, Colombia and the USA took part in the Webinar titled "Wellbeing, happiness and good living from the Andean Cosmovision of Sumak Kawsay". The webinar was organized by the Communication, Education and Environment Research Group (GICEA for its acronym in Spanish), the language institute and the intercultural bilingual education undergraduate program.

The aim of the webinar was to reflect on and appreciate different cultural models based on wellbeing and good living where ancestral knowledge from our Andean communities prevail since they have been around for years. It puts human beings, nature and spirituality first, as a road to happiness.

The topic of the webinar is part of the research project "The intuitive process as a deep understanding of women and men to develop new models of well-being" that GICEA carries out along with the University of Salento, Spain. This initiative started due to the need to encourage learning processes that are linked to stability and mental health, especially due to the pandemic situation that in some cases has generated conflict, depression and unhappiness.

The speakers were international experts: Luis Montaluisa, professor at Universidad Politecnica Salesiana, Aura Isabel Mora, educational journalist from Universidad de la Tierra, communicator from Universidad Central de Colombia, and Ranti Sami Chuma, from the Kichwa-Cañari Community, Director of the AllRarak Consultancy and Owner of the Bio-industry "Purita".

This type of event strengthens the university's commitment with interculturality.
