The Ecuadorian Vice President invited mechanical engineering students from UPS-Quito and their professor Tomas Ibujes to visit the Coca Codo Sinclair Hydroelectric Project located in the province of Napo and Sucumbios.

This visit is part of the government's program to socialize this project and its construction with universities; our students were able to witness the breaking of the last layer of rock of the 25km tunnel which will lead the water from the Coca river to the compensation reservoir and the second motor generator in the power house.

The Ecuadorian Vice President Jorge Glas Espinel warmly greeted and welcomed UPS students and said the skills and the potential of Ecuadorian workers and students will bring great benefits to our country.
