On February 19, UPS-Quito held a closing ceremony for the induction courses that took place for over 1800 applicants wishing to enroll in one of the university's majors in Quito. The courses were held from the 15 to the 19 of February. 

The aim of the courses were for students to learn important aspects of UPS such as its historical background, regulations, services, majors, infrastructure, its departments: student services, pastoral, community involvement and the psychological center. 

Jose Juncosa, UPS-Quito Vice President, welcomed everyone and wished them all to have a great time at the university, "I invite you to not only work on analysis, summaries or essays, but to develop your narrative thinking skills, which is about not only understanding, but about being able to tell experiences about academic life", he said. 

Students had a great time during this closing ceremony as they watched and heard the performances by several bands from the university, the Urban dance group and the Tai chi group.
