UPS professor presented his research at the SCOPUS IEEE PES

Professor Ramon Enrique Perez Pineda, a member of the univesity's Smart Grids Research Group (Grupo de Investigación en Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes GIREI), presented his research titled "Classification of the Status of the Voltage Supply in Induction Motors Using Support Vector Machines" during the SCOPUS IEEE PES Transmission and Distribution, Conference and Exposition which was held in Dallas, Texas from the 2 to the 5 of May. 

Over 400 papers were sent for revision and the ones that were accepted were presented through posters; 80 papers were selected to be presented during the conferences. Professor Perez presented his paper during the conferences. 

There was research on energy development, power generation and electric machines from several universities from the USA, Brazil, Denmark, India and Ecuador.

The event was organized by the power and energy society, over 700 companies and thousands of professionals from more than 80 countries took part in this event, which is considered the largest worldwide event on technology advances in the field of energy.
